PermaStruct® FRP Substrate, Strength has never been Stronger!

Have a small or large commercial job that needs a suitable subframe, and you want the best (and when we say the best, we mean THE BEST)? Well we have the perfect product for you! PermaStruct® FRP Substrate is super strong, as well as demolishing the drawbacks traditional timber has for subframes.

When using traditional timber, warping can happen, especially with Australia’s harsh weather climates. Well, since PermaStruct® FRP Substrate is being made of a mixture of fibreglass and resin, the substrate expands and contracts at a smaller rate, meaning it will stay stronger for a whole lot longer.

Another problem timber has? Insects. Termites can feed in your subframe and weaken the overall frame. And with high foot traffic areas, it is only a matter of time until one person steps and hears a crack. Rest assured, PermaStruct® FRP Substrate is insect resistant, meaning fear of termite wrecking is a thing of the past!

One last big problem with timber subframes is when they are constructed near bodies of water, the wood soaks the water in, damaging the frame and getting the project to be weaker and weaker over time. PermaStruct® FRP Substrate is waterproof and will not weaken when around water (we told you it was the best of the best)!

So, you may think, “Oh well these problems are only for timber, I will use a steel subframe and bam! Problem solved!” Good luck with rust then, as that is a major problem when it comes to steel subframes. You can rest easy knowing that the FRP Substrate is also corrosion proof, making it look great for years and years on end.

PermaStruct® FRP Substrate has an incredibly high strength to weight ratio, so once it is installed, you know that you have created a subframe that will last a lifetime. It can be used for a variety of different projects, both small and large, such as boardwalks, jetties, trench covers and platforms.

PermaStruct® FRP Substrate is compliant with Australian Standards and Building Codes of Australia (AS1145, AS1170, AS5100, AS1657), as well as being compliant with AS1530.3 – Early Fire Hazard Properties.
